A 5 track electronic ep (18m 41s) — released November 23rd 2018 on Salviatek

[ENGLISH]

Salviatek introduces its sixth release: Privacidad, from Bolivian producer Funeral.

Born in La Paz, the DJ/producer characterizes his sound by redefining the elements of marginalized musical genres, from contemporary urban rhythms to those specific to the Latin American region, creating a vanguard sound with a strong, undeniable identity.

Metallic breaks, emotive synthesizers, and layered melodies merge with pre-hispanic club rhythms over the course of five tracks, forming a unique, never-heard-before effort from Funeral and the Salviatek label. The complete piece is an innovative, club-ready auditory manifesto that invites us to not only closely listen to it, but to feel, think, and heal with it.

Encrypted inside the artwork is a hidden fifth track that can be accessed with the download of the full release from Salviatek's bandcamp site, conveying the album's conceptual strategy for privacy as a means of connecting the user and the artform far from industry's logics.

Salviatek

The (post) modernity reaching its top magical and destroying power has given the kickstart for this venture to our record label. It has been composed in such a way that it will only be able to be listened to against the grain. The fifth elements of this great movement point the bright sharp auditive object with a gesture of complicity of the ones who listen.

In the embers of a world ruled by image hypertrophy, only the valorization of the other senses can undo the spell. It is in the tremor of the detail where we can take refuge. And only when the above does not respond to chance or to an alleged harmony, is it when we can say that what we hear looks at us. In front of everyone and in front of anyone's eyes.

"We only see what is in front of us but we never see what is above."

The only way to overcome this vulnerability is to expose yourself.
